Join our Medicare Advantage Retiree Plans Task Force

Over four million retirees across the country are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage health plan sponsored by a former employer. These seniors depend on high-quality, affordable care, and continued funding for these plans. In 2018, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) proposed cuts to Medicare Advantage retiree coverage, which would have raised costs and disrupted coverage for thousands of seniors around the country. Better Medicare Alliance advocates would not let this happen without letting their collective voice be heard.

Many older adults called offices of members of congress, wrote letters and op-eds about their positive experiences and had opinion pieces published in local newspapers. These advocacy actions were essential to letting CMS understand the value of these health insurance plans.

We need to continue to let CMS, our representatives in congress and people across the country know the value of Medicare Advantage retiree plans. Don’t wait until your plans is at risk. Join BMA’s most passionate advocates to support Medicare Advantage retiree plans year-round. Participation is free and completely volunteer-based – we just ask for 1-2 hours of your time each month.
