My husband and I are very pleased with our Medicare Advantage Plans. Since 2008, we have been on Humana and AARP Medicare Complete with Care Improvement Plus. With these plans, we receive our medications at affordable prices through the mail order service.

In addition to our medications, we also receive individualized care with a nurse that calls monthly to check in on how we are doing. The nurse will also follow up anytime we are discharged from the hospital after an inpatient stay or from the Emergency Department. Our primary care physician also has the nurse make house calls for physical exams. We have found that all of our providers work well together from our primary care physician, specialists, and pharmacists in coordinating our care and medication needs.
With these comprehensive plans, our care is simplified, and we have access to the best care. We do not pay anything out of pocket for wellness examinations including preventive screening like mammograms and colonoscopies. Specialized care is also covered including mental health counseling, cardiology, pulmonology, and other areas of care that are essential to maintaining our good health.
